Missy's House

We bought our (cut) Christmas tree in the cold drizzling breeze yesterday and have it up already. Nice to drink our morning coffee to the lights and smell of the tree! Got an e-mail from Lin this a.m. The Christmas cookie bake is on for Sunday 12/14 starting about 11:30 at her house. There is always a big need for folks to decorate the cookies! Remember to bring a container in which to take home your share. :)

Tim is 50 !!

Happy Birthday and congratulations young man.
Welcome to the top of the hill. Quite a view
from here.

Tim was born in Kinston, NC in 1958. He grew up on a small farm, the youngest child. He was the first in his family to attend college, and he attended ECU and UNC Chapel Hill. Tim and Missy met at a contra dance in early 1992 and married a few months later at the end of August. He works for the City of Winston-Salem as writer of housing grants, where he focuses on working on solutions for homelessness and helps organizations such as homeless shelters find government funds. He has played basketball since high school and now coaches youth basketball teams in his spare time.

Gymnastics

Holly finished second at her gymnastics meet this past weekend. We are waiting to see if she qualified for the state meet to be held near Charlotte in 2 weeks.

My next learning project is to figure out how to include video of her flying through the air. Video files I have are too large so need to figure out how others get all those videos on the net and their websites.

Holidays

Has it been a year already? Can hardly believe the holidays are here again. 33 days to Christmas. Our plans are to be at the farm Thursday  mid-day and go to Michael and Katherine's for dinner, she cooking her very first turkey. And I think we may all be planning a leaner holiday season and watching our pennies.  I have told several clients about the ritual Missy began with the presents and some are planning on doing it with their families and friends this year.

Anyway, we look forward to seeing you. Bring your party hats.

Jimmy is 52

Jimmy turned 52 !  Can't be. Where did the time go. Anyway, Happy Birthday young man.

Black Bear

Good morning,
It is trash day in Telemark. Theo was greeted first thing by George - the big black bear that comes to visit. He found a nice full bag of trash at the neighbors as we all watched. Meg was a little shocked, but Ted and I loved it. Better keep my lunch in the zip lock bag and hidden in the purse.

Have a fun day,
Donna
