Bass Master

With her pink fishing gear and intense concentration, Katherine pulled in a 5 pound bass on Monday. Since she is going for the record she released this one.

Cruisin'

Bon Voyage.  Well, Mom and Dad are off on another exotic adventure. Traveling the world. Living the high life. We hope they are having a memorable time and come back with even more stories for
the Renuart gatherings.

Lin's Trip

So, Lin has returned from the real world of the mid-Atlantic / Caribbean  Turks and Caicos islands. Pictures, not words, are the only adequate way to express the beauty from afar. This link takes you to a slide show by the local tourism folks. Enjoy vicariously or plan your next trip.

Evidently the rum is quite good there as well.

Erin Michelle is 25!

The Roese family gathered to celebrate Erin's 25th birthday. Participants include, front row (L to R) Eta, Cristen, lovely Donna with Valentina (who now has more hair than Ted), Erin, and Meg. Back row: Ted, Will, Ty, and Cesar.
The Roeses are also experimenting with a healthier lifestyle, resulting in Ted and Erin winning the trophy by losing 12 pounds in the past 3 months. Congratulations and Happy Birthday Erin.
What are you going to do with the next 75 years?

Thomas Fuller at 40

Thomas Fuller turns 40 on April 15. He grew up in Durham and graduated from Southern High in Durham in 1989. An occasional trouble maker and class clown who once jumped his dirt bike over I 85. Another dangerous event occurred in his life in 2005 when he met Jenny Hill. Friends at first, romance bloomed and they were married April 12, 2008. Living with them is Thomas's 15 yo daughter, Heather, and their own child, Taylor Joleigh Fuller, born Sept 2, 2008. Continuing his interest in electronics Thomas works with Extreme Audio in Durham and generously advises family members with their own electronic adventures. Jenny continues to build her business, and follow her passion, caring for and  training dogs, and ah.... dog owners.

Congratulations and Happy Birthday Thomas!!

After several years in gymnastics Holly, along with consultation from Kim and I and her instructors, has decided to take a break. Quite dedicated, she was up to 4 days per week, 3 1/2 hrs per day. As you can imagine, grades began to slip. Those have come up and she has more time with her family and friends. Taking pictures and video was limited at events, but we were able to get a few. This is one of her last events. Enjoy.

Chicken Golf

The 2009 Chicken Challenge is officially completed. After 2 grueling days of turf destruction  in the rain-soaked wilderness of Caswell County, both teams achieved a victory. The corn fed Renuart boys won the first round and the Asia dynamos came back on day 2 to extract revenge.
The Roese brothers finally sealed the deal in sudden death, an event witnessed by a local free-range rooster. Jerry was medalist with a 79 on day one.

A great time was had by all. Surely the stories will grow in time as they are told. The course will now be closed temporarily for repairs.

Hill Family Update

Ben is working hard and thankful to have a job. His evenings are spent playing, sometimes with Matthew. I am  4 weeks from end of my Junior year and only 7 classes from BA in Health Services Management and Administration.

Matthew is going through lots of interesting changes. He is finally in 50th percentile for height and weight. Ben worries he may have my height gene. I worry that he may have Ben's ... well, you know what.  We recently invested in program called "Your Baby Can Read". www.yourbabycanread.com.   We can see a difference in only a week. Must have my "brain gene" as well. He is now jabbering a lot - that is from Ben's genes. He recently pooted on Ben's lap and proclaimed, "Ahhh, poo poo".  Now the favorite "saying" for both of them.  Potty training starts soon.

Taylor has been hanging out here some too. What a sweetie. Those two babes are very cute together. Another generation of cousins.
We love and miss you all. Come visit soon, Easter maybe.

Softball Winners

Haley's high school team went undefeated in the season opening tournament, winning 17-0, 2-1,  and 5-0.  Though Haley's playing time was minimal because she missed practice on Tuesday, she batted twice and scored one. She vowed that she would not miss another practice.

A fun weekend in Kernersville !

Winter Wonderland

What a beautiful winter day here in central NC.  And what we love about NC snow, pretty on arrival and gone after a couple of days.

The Roese Clan

Pictures capture one second in time. They help us freeze and share that moment and produce
a visual record of our histories. In this post, while we are on the Roese family, is a picture
from 1992.

Everyone here in NC is feeling very grateful for the recent visit from Ted ... and Donna - the goddess of nature. Over 6 inches of snow in our yard at the moment and one of the biggest snow events in years. Children all over central NC are smiling and having a blast today.

Roese visit

It was a busy weekend with several "gatherings" of the Renuart clan. The occasion was the all too rare visit from some of the Roese clan, Ted, Donna, Erin, and Megan.  The weather did not permit the intense golf competition but there was lots of food and games and many stories (some true) told. Gatherings occurred at the farm, the Townsends, and Lin's where the Roeses viewed all the work Lin has done on her lovely, and very homey, home.
